About the author:

Alexandru Popescu was born on September 26, 1987 in the city of Bender, Republic of Moldova. A graduate of “Alexandru cel Bun” Theoretical High School in Bender, with a degree in Communication Sciences at the Free International University of Moldova. Worked for several years as a reporter for news agencies, TV and radio stations in Chisinau. As of 2017 lives in the United Kingdom. A member of the Writers’ Union of Moldova (since 2023)

Made his literary debut in 2022 with the novel Montana, published by ARC Publishing. The following year the book was awarded the prize for debut of the Writers’ Union of Moldova, the prize for debut in literature of the Municipal Library “B.P. Hasdeu” in Chisinau and with the award for literature offered by „Vânturile, valurile”, a cultural show broadcasted on Jurnal TV in Chisinau.

In the spring of 2023, Adâncuri incolore is released, author’s second novel. The book was selected, among other 9 works, to be turned into a film script within a project run by Independent Filmmakers Association from Moldova. In march of 2024 Adâncuri incolore was nominated at „Ziarul de Iași” National Proze Award in Romania.

In april 2024 the novel Ecografie is released, the third book written by Alexandru Popescu.
